Privacy Policy

Effective September 13, 2026 · Private pilot version 1.0

Pilot legal notice

This baseline is prepared for Comfort ATL’s private pilot and should be reviewed with Georgia counsel before public launch.

The short version

  • Your Taste Memory, saved plans, and private visit history are used to personalize your Comfort experience.

  • Verification evidence stays private unless you deliberately publish information to a business or Creator profile.

  • Comfort ATL does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Comfort ATL (“Comfort,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our local discovery, business, Creator, marketplace, and pilot-feedback features (the “Service”). It applies to the private pilot and the related account experiences we operate.

Third-party sites, ticket sellers, reservation services, payment services, and other destinations linked from Comfort have their own privacy practices.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Comfort, we may collect:

  • Account information: a secured Site account identifier, email address, optional display name, sign-in state, and the roles and permissions connected to your account.

  • Customer information: city or ZIP code, occasions, tastes, preferences, discovery priorities, saved businesses, saved itineraries, visit history, reviews, and pilot progress or feedback.

  • Business and verification information: business name, contact and location details, ZIP code, operating hours, profile content, media, ownership or authorization evidence, claim status, and messages with the verification team.

  • Creator information: name, email, handle, market, specialties, services, rates, platform and audience details, portfolio links, application status, and verification results.

  • Agreement records: the Owner or Creator agreement type and version, a content hash, authenticated account, signer name, electronic signature, confirmations, and acceptance time.

  • Communication preferences: whether you affirmatively subscribed to or unsubscribed from optional email marketing, the consent-language version and hash, account identity, source, and time of the change.

  • Marketplace information: briefs, proposals, project terms, messages, deliverables, payment status, payout status, receipt links, and transaction identifiers.

  • Technical and usage information: basic device, browser, log, security, error, and feature-use information needed to operate and improve the Service.

Comfort Intelligence monitoring is intentionally limited to structured intent labels, outcomes, and counts. We do not include raw search text, email addresses, or customer names in that monitoring record.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts; provide discovery and personalization; save plans and activity; operate business claims and Creator verification; support marketplace projects and payments; moderate reviews and public content; prevent fraud and misuse; troubleshoot and secure the Service; communicate about account actions; and measure and improve pilot readiness.

We use your email for optional restaurant features, event highlights, pilot news, and offers only when you affirmatively choose marketing email. The option starts off and is not required for an account or any role. You can turn it off in your account at any time. Account, safety, verification, project, billing, privacy, and support messages are service communications and may still be sent when needed.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, product planning, and reporting when it cannot reasonably identify you.

What is public and what stays private

Published business profiles, approved Creator profiles, approved reviews, and content deliberately submitted for publication may be visible to other people. Project counterparties may see information needed to evaluate and complete a brief, proposal, or project.

Taste Memory, saved places, saved itineraries, private visit history, unpublished review details, staff-only review notes, account permissions, and verification evidence are not public profile content. We may still access them when needed to operate, secure, support, or enforce the Service.

When we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers that help us host, authenticate, store, secure, analyze, communicate, or support the Service; to a business or Creator you choose to work with; when you direct us to publish content; or when required to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of Comfort or comply with law.

ChatGPT/Sites supports secured Site authentication. Stripe processes payment and payout account information under Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy. Comfort may retain transaction status, amounts, identifiers, and receipt links, but does not store full payment-card numbers.

If Comfort is involved in a financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, information may be disclosed as part of that transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Payments and external services

During the current private pilot, Comfort’s Stripe integration is in test mode and real charges are not enabled. Before live payments begin, the payment screen will clearly identify the charge and applicable terms.

Event tickets, reservations, restaurant purchases, and other actions completed on a third-party site are transactions with that third party, not Comfort. Review that provider’s privacy and transaction terms before continuing.

Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain account and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect the pilot. Retention periods vary by the type of record and why it is needed.

We may retain limited security, audit, payment, or legal agreement records after other account information is deleted. Retained agreement evidence is separated from the deleted account and its direct identifiers are replaced. We may also retain de-identified or aggregated information.

Your choices and requests

You can edit or clear Taste Memory, clear private visit history, manage saved items, delete your own reviews, and turn optional marketing email on or off through available account controls. Business owners and Creators can update their submitted profile information and respond to verification requests.

The Privacy Request Center inside Customer, Owner, and Creator account areas lets you submit and track data-access, correction, and account-deletion requests. Deletion requires an explicit confirmation and staff review. Comfort removes customer activity, optional marketing-consent records, and private verification files, revokes account access, and anonymizes limited transaction, verification, or audit records that must be retained for integrity or legal obligations. Active projects, unsettled payments, live provider billing, payout accounts, or administrator access must be resolved before deletion can run.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your authenticated account secure and report suspected unauthorized access through the Support Center.

Children

Comfort is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Customer features require users to be at least 13. Business claims, Creator applications, project agreements, payments, and payouts require users to be at least 18 or the age of legal majority where they live.

United States use and Georgia law

Comfort is operated for users in the United States, with an initial focus on Metro Atlanta. Information is processed in the United States. Local privacy rights may vary, and we will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

Updates and contact

We may update this Policy as the pilot changes. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice when a change is material. Questions and account-recovery requests can be submitted through the Support Center or by email to support@comfortatl.com.

You can request account deletion by email without signing in or reinstalling the app. Data-access and correction requests can also be sent to this address. We verify account ownership before fulfilling a request; verified privacy requests remain available in your Comfort account.
